Changes & Update

This update is to let you know of some changes to Ty Clwyd and to clarify some messages that have recently been issued.

If anyone want any further details then please contact your Division Representative or Pam Lewis (booking Secretary) who will be pleased to help you. If you want to contact Pam please use the Ty Clwyd e-mail address (ty_clwyd1@msn.com).

Bookings

Thank you for continuing to support Ty Clwyd and it is now becoming easier to book ahead. From now on you will not have to wait to October to make your booking for the following year.On line booking means that you can now plan further ahead and make your booking when you want to thus improving your chances of getting the dates you want.

Bedding

Please note that duvets in the guiders / first aid room are being removed and that you will now need to bring own bedding. It has becoming difficult to ensure that they are clean etc so it has been agreed that for health and safety reasons it is better if they are removed.

Arrival and departure times

Ever since Ty Clwyd opened hirers have been asked to comply with arrival and departure times and not to arrive or stay on before / after this time. Times are required to ensure that cleaning and repairs / maintenance work are completed.

Unfortunately there have been problems recently with people arriving earlier and / or staying later than they have booked and in some cases people have been leaving equipment and / or staying overnight without the booking secretary being aware. This could lead to health and safety / an insurance problem if people are on site without a hire agreement also on some occasions it has meant that the cleaning and repairs could not be done.

Guiders should note that the normal arrival time is to be after 15:00pm and departure is to be by 12:00pm.

Any change must be prior arrangement, subject to availability and extra fee to be paid.

  • If you are aware at time of booking that you need to come earlier or stay later than please book on the website to ensure that no one else also books as well.
  • If you realise after booking that you need to come earlier or stay later then please contact and agree with the Booking Secretary and not the Warden. This is to ensure that Ty Clwyd is available something that Mr Jones does not always know.
  • The Ty Clwyd fee is for per person per night, so if using Ty Clwyd to store and / or staying then you must pay the appropriate fee to cover electricity costs etc. The web site will be amended to show the rates.

Thank you for your co-operation with the above that is meant to help everyone ensure Ty Clwyd runs smoothly.

Many Thanks

Ty Clwyd Management Committee
